Manual Spotwise Sample Application Platform with Capillary Dispenser

The Nanomat 4 allows easy manual application of samples for quantitative and qualitative Planar Chromatography in the form of spots onto TLC and HPTLC plates or sheets. The actual sample dosage is performed with disposable capillary pipettes, which are precisely guided by the Universal Capillary Holder. The compact Capillary Dispenser can be used either with the Nanomat 4 or separately.

  • Precise positioning and application – the sample is applied vertically, without damage to the layer. The capillary touches the layer with a constant pressure which is determined solely by the friction of rest against a permanent magnet.
  • Handles wide variety of formats including self-coated plates, HPTLC plates, and TLC and HPTLC sheets, in a range of sizes up to 20 x 20 cm.
  • Capillary Guide permits fast and safe exchange of devices with no cross-contamination.
  • Choice of disposable capillary pipettes in sizes of 0.5µl, 1µl, 2µl, 5µl and 10µl are available to meet varying requirements.
  • RSD<2%, compliant with quantitative requirements
  • Volume precision is R ± 0.25%, CV ± 0.6%
  • All components are interchangeable with those of the previous Nanomat 3 model
  • Capillary pipettes are loaded into the dispenser in reloadable magazines; each capillary size requires an appropriate dispenser magazine
  • With the Universal Capillary Holder capillary pipettes are taken from the dispenser, filled with sample solution and then placed against the applicator head of the Nanomat 4
  • Capillaries can also be manually positioned with the Multipurpose Spotting Guide.
