The TLC Visualizer facilitates image-based evaluation of planar chromatograms, capturing exceptionally high-quality images of TLC plates via a powerful integrated CCD camera with outstanding linearity giving excellent colour reproduction. Exposure is automatic with fast image capture, and the entire process is conveniently controlled by the TLC software for quick and intuitive operation.

The optional easy-to-use software permits rapid and flexible evaluation of images captured with the TLC Visualizer. Chromatograms can be evaluated at any time, even years after capture, and the program offers a range of flexible features such as profile comparison of tracks from several chromatograms, evaluation of tracks with variable distance, distorted tracks etc.

  • Automatic image optimization for all illumination modes – UV254 / UV366 and white light (direct light and/or transmitted). “Professional Image Enhancement” provides perfect illumination, complemented by advanced plate background correction.
  • High reproducibility ensured by fixed capture parameters such as focal length, focus, and aperture, while high dynamic range ensures capture of fine details.
  • Easy comparison of tracks from different TLC/HPTLC plates on the same screen with the “Image Comparison Viewer”.
  • Intuitive control via winCATS software which provides additional image control options

  • The winCATS program saves all images taken of the same plate in a single analysis file together with all other analytical data
  • VideoScan allows selection of single or multi-level calibration (linear or polynomial regression)
